Recommended
Revolution Ace is slower than most shmups, but the loadout system gives it a bit more to chew on. Switching between air and ground targets while unlocking weapon slots and perks is a neat idea, even if bullets can get lost in the background and the early game drags. It takes a while to wake up, but there's a decent shooter underneath.

I liked Revolution Ace. It’s a shoot ’em up where you blast through enemies and upgrade your aircraft along the way. Good fun if you’re in the mood to dodge bullets and blow stuff up.

Not recommended
Plays like a bad ripoff of Raptor on a newer engine and somehow makes 3d look worse. Feels really lazy. Enemies have basically the same attack patterns as the original few levels of Raptor and even the bosses are copied. Got it on special and still regret it.
